How to play TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks is the fast, chain-building solitaire. Any uncovered card that sits one rank above or below the card on the waste pile can be played, and a long chain can sweep half the board in seconds. It is the easiest of the classics to pick up and surprisingly addictive once you start chasing streaks.

The board resizes to whatever screen you are on. Drag a card with your finger, or simply tap it and it moves to the first place it legally fits. On a keyboard, N starts a new game, U undoes, H gives a hint and Space draws from the stock.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play TriPeaks solitaire?

Remove any uncovered card that is one rank higher or lower than the card showing on the waste pile. Keep chaining cards for a higher score.

Does the Ace wrap around to the King?

Yes. Ace plays on King and King plays on Ace, so chains can run through the whole deck.

What is a streak?

Every card you clear without drawing from the stock extends the streak and is worth more points. Drawing a new card resets it to zero.

Is TriPeaks easier than Klondike?

Generally yes. Most deals are winnable and games are short, which is why it is a popular first solitaire.

Why is a card still face down?

Peak cards only turn over once both cards covering them have been removed.

Can I undo in TriPeaks?

Yes, undo is unlimited here, including the card you just drew from the stock.
