Twelve free solitaire games, one place

Solitaire is the card game people keep coming back to: a few minutes, no opponent, no setup. This section has twelve of the classics, each on its own page, each with unlimited undo, hints, an auto-finish for the boring part and a timer so you can see whether you are actually getting better. Nothing to install and no account to make โ€” they run in the browser, on a phone, a laptop or a school Chromebook.

New to solitaire?

Start with Klondike on turn 1 โ€” it is the version most people mean by โ€œsolitaireโ€. If you prefer puzzles where nothing is hidden, go to FreeCell: almost every deal can be solved, so every loss is something you can learn from. For short rounds try TriPeaks or Golf, and when you want a proper fight, Spider in four suits or Forty Thieves will happily take your evening.

How the timer and leaderboard work

The clock starts on your first move and stops when the last card lands. Finished games are saved with your time and move count, and each game page shows the fastest wins. Your personal best, current streak and game history stay in your own browser.

Frequently asked questions

Are these solitaire games free?

Yes. All twelve are free, run in your browser and need no download, sign-up or app.

Which solitaire is the classic one?

Klondike. It is the game that shipped with Windows and the one most people picture when they hear the word solitaire.

Can I play solitaire offline?

The pages need to load once. After that a game you have open keeps working without a connection, although leaderboard times are only saved while you are online.

Do these games work on a school Chromebook?

Yes. They are ordinary web pages with no plugins or downloads, so they run on Chromebooks, phones, tablets, Windows and Mac.

Which solitaire game is the easiest to win?

Spider in one suit and TriPeaks are the most forgiving. FreeCell is the most winnable with skill, since nearly every deal has a solution.

Is my progress saved?

Your best times, win streak and settings are saved in your browser, and finished games appear on the leaderboard for each game.
